  • 1 pound Bacon, Cut Into Thirds

  • 1 pound Lil’ Smokies (small sausages)

  • 1 stick Butter

  • 2 cups Brown Sugar, divided

  • Toothpicks

  • Baking Sheet

Optional Kitchen Gadget:

Preparation

  1. Cut the bacon into thirds and wrap each smokie. Use a toothpick to secure.

  2. Preheat oven to 375F after bacon has been cut (or after wrapping all the smokies if you are making a large batch).

  3. Line Baking Sheet with Parchment Paper or Aluminum Foil for easy clean-up.

  4. Place all the wrapped smokies in a single layer in a baking dish.

  5. Then melt the stick of butter and add 1 cup of brown sugar and stir until mixed well.

  6. Brush the butter and brown sugar mixture on the smokies and bacon.

  7. Then take the other cup of brown sugar and sprinkle evenly over the smokies.

  8. Place the Baking Dish on one of the middle racks in your oven. Bake at 375F for about 15-20 minutes total and then turn the heat up to 400F* for about 5 minutes or longer until the bacon becomes crispy.

*Important Note: Make sure your your toothpicks are not too close to the upper heating element, as it can be a fire hazard!

PRO Tip: If you want the bacon to have the perfect cook, flip the smokies halfway through their bake. You can also use a neat Kitchen Food Torch to tidy up any undercooked pieces.
